The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick has been accredited under Imagine Canada’s national Standards Program since 2015. With this achievement, we join a growing community of 280 organizations Imagine Canada Standards Program dedicated to operational excellence.
The Standards Program is a Canada-wide set of shared standards for charities and non-profits designed to strengthen practices in five fundamental areas: board governance; financial accountability and transparency; fundraising; staff management; and volunteer involvement.

Disclosure of Payments to Board Directors
From time to time, the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick purchases goods and/or professional services from board members or companies in which a board member is an owner, partner, or senior manager. These transactions are in the normal course of operations and are measured at the exchange amount, which is the amount of consideration established and agreed to by the related parties and, which, in management’s opinion, is comparable to the amounts that would have been paid to non-related parties. These transactions are subject to a regular review process.
In 2024, there were no payments made to board members or companies in which a board member is an owner, partner or senior manager.
