YMCA High Intensity Interval Training offers an efficient workout for your entire body, keeping you sharp and motivated by changing the speed and frequency of your activity. Interval training is designed to keep changing things up, varying your heart rate and challenging your body to work differently. By preventing your body from settling into a routine, you are less likely to plateau physically and more likely to stay motivated. Interval training includes segments of cardio, muscle conditioning and flexibility exercises combined with brief periods of recovery. Agility, balance and coordination exercises may also be incorporated.
In this 50-minute class, exercises will be done using free weights, resistance tubing, equipment accessories and body weight to condition your total body! You will see improvements in your energy, strength, muscular endurance and body composition participating on a regular basis.
Learn the basics of Golf with our YMCA coaches trained through the First Tee program. The program is modified for indoor instruction and designed to meet the needs of children and youth 8 – 10 years old, no matter the skill level. Participants are exposed to core value behaviors through sports which young people may already be familiar, such as baseball, football, bowling and tennis; however, these games are modified to incorporate four basic golf shots — putt, chip, pitch and full swing.
