Step 1

Fill out the intake form and the consent forms for all your family members who are 18 years and older.

Step 2

Schedule a Client intake meeting with our team.

After you apply, you can book a meeting with our client intake liaison using the link in the confirmation email you receive in your mailbox. Please make sure you check your junk mail for an email from YMCA Newcomer Connections.

Appointments can be made for a virtual or in-person meeting. All in-person appointments are at the Saint John Regional Y (Click here for directions) or at the Irving Oil Field House (Click here for directions).

You can also book an appointment here.

If you cannot make it to your appointment, please reschedule it so that someone else can book their appointment.

Step 3

Come to the client intake meeting with essential documents.

Depending upon your immigration status, please bring one of the following documents to the client intake meeting

• Permanent Residence Cards
• Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR)
• Work Permit
• Study Permit
• Refugee Asylum Visa.

If you have a spouse and/or dependents who are also new to YMCA Newcomer Connections, you can complete the client intake form for them. You must also bring their documents to the meeting.

If you (or someone you know) cannot use the Sign-Up form (i.e. due to digital challenges or English literacy), please contact our office or visit our office and we will be happy to assist you.
