We encourage older adults to maintain quality of life and independent living by getting involved in fall prevention and health management programs.

Saint John Regional Y Older Adult Programs

This class is designed for anyone starting a fitness program and for active older adults (50+). It includes weights and flexibility.

Helps older adults stay healthy, active, and mobile. Performing exercises that improve strength, balance, and fitness are the most important activities that adults can do to stay active and reduce their chance of falling.

YMCA Aquafit is a great way to get fitness benefits and improve your circulation without stressing your joints. By pushing against the resistance of water, you can adapt each session to your own level of fitness. It is a great way to add variety to your fitness program.

Enjoy the therapeutic properties of being suspended in warm water. Ideal for those with back issues and joint pain.

Irving Oil Field House Older Adult Programs

This class is designed for those older adults who are new to exercise and active older adults (50+). No experience is required, and all skill levels are welcome.
Free to all Seniors with a donation to the Strong Communities Campaign. Walk the track, meet new friends, join an activity, relax, have a tea and socialize.
Older Adults are welcome to visit us each Tuesday afternoon to enjoy a walk or run on our 6-lane track. Bring a friend or make new friends.
A free community program to learn how to improve balance and reduce risk of falls while interacting with peers.
