YMCA Strong Communities Dog Swim

You and your pooch can dog-paddle in support of the Strong Communities Campaign this spring! It’s only $20 – we shih tzu not – to make ‘fur-ever’ memories and ensure your pup goes ‘mutts’ over you.

There will be two timeslots, one hour in length each. Each time slot can accommodate 30 participants.

Rules and Waiver Information
- One owner (at least 16 years of age) must accompany each dog.
- Owners are responsible for the behaviour and output of their dogs. They will be responsible for picking up after their dog and ensuring they remain even-tempered.
- Please ensure your dog is well hydrated before arrival. Please note that the intake of chlorinated water can induce vomiting in dogs.
- Only one toy can be brought per dog. Safe choice in toys include balls, tug ropes.
- Lifeguards will be present to ensure human safety. Canine safety is up to the owner.
- Parking will be available in the upper YMCA staff parking lot located in the back of the Regional YMCA.
- Entrances to the pool will also be accessed in the back of the YMCA. Please do not bring your pet through the front entrance.
- The Therapy Pool will be reserved for smaller dogs with a maximum of seven dogs and owners at once.
- Lifejackets are permitted and encouraged.
