YMCA 2024 Annual Fishing Derby

Join us for a day of fun at the Glenn Carpenter Centre for our first Fishing Derby in support of YMCA Strong Communities.

This event is for the whole family or the avid fisherman. Register today!

Saturday, June 1

8am – 9:30am – Registration at the IG tent. Pick up you ruler and score sheet, swag and chance for 50/50 draw

9:30am – 1pm – Fish Ashburn Lake. There is a trail that goes around the lake and has plenty of spots for fishing.

11:30am – 12:30 pm BBQ at Picnic Hanger

12:30pm – 1:00pm Prize Giveaway!

Prizes for the following:

– Top Fundraiser
– Largest Fish
– Smallest Fish
– Best Fisherman (most fish caught)
– Worst Fisherman (no fish caught)
– Best costume

*The will be a catch and release event

*Limited number of canoes and kayaks available. Life jackets on site and required for use.

*Limited number of fishing polls available (please inquire if you are in need)
