The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick is coordinating free curbside pickup and delivery of essential items for vulnerable persons in the community, through their large volunteer and staff base.
There are many individuals and families in our community that do not have the means or ability to leave their homes to pick up essential items like groceries, medication and other critical supplies — whether they are elderly, disabled, have no transportation, or be a single-parent household with young children. With support from the United Way’s Atlantic Compassion Fund, the Y provides this service to the community.
How to Participate
Those in need of essential items are asked to please call +1-506-646-2116 and leave a message. Messages are checked frequently from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Please leave your name and number and we will return your call to determine eligibility for this program.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Physical distancing protocols are strictly followed and precautionary supplies, like hand sanitizer, masks and gloves, will be provided to volunteers. Supplies will be picked up curbside and will be dropped off on doorsteps, communicating with those requiring our service by phone.
