About Our Programs
At the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick, we currently offer programs for children from infants to 12 years old at thirteen locations across the region.
Choosing a child care provider is a big decision: you want your baby or toddler to be nurtured and cared for as well as you would do yourself. Our YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum provides your little one with a chance to learn and grow through creative play, helping them get ready for a lifetime of learning. This national play-based curriculum combines our decades of experience in child care delivery with the latest body of knowledge on how the brain develops and how children learn.
YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick’s Before and After School licensed care offers a healthy solution. Kids have fun and develop confidence while spending time with friends in a safe and caring environment. A Place to Connect is a school-age curriculum created for staff working with children aged 5-12 years old who attend YMCA Before and After School programs. This curriculum has evolved from the YMCA’s long and rich history as one of the largest providers of programs for children and youth in Canada. It is designed to ensure that the YMCA Mission, Vision, and Values guide every aspect of our work.

Strong Communities Financial Assistance
The YMCA Strong Communities Campaign raises funds to improve and enrich the lives of thousands of children, adults, seniors and families in southern New Brunswick.
Through the generosity of donors, thousands of people who face financial barriers will have access to Y programs and services such as licensed child care, youth mental health support, recreational programs, digital literacy for seniors, and health and fitness memberships for all ages.
In 2023, your YMCA is working to raise $625,000 to support our community and ensure everyone has access to the Y.
If your financial circumstances make it difficult for you to register for child care programs, consider applying for financial support. The Strong Communities Fund makes the Y accessible to everyone.
