Strong Communities Financial Assistance

If your financial circumstances make it difficult for you to register for a YMCA Camp Glenburn program, consider applying for financial support. The Y’s Strong Communities Opportunity Fund makes camping a possibility for everyone.

Please include a filled copy of the Strong Communities Application form at the time of registration. You can find a digital copy by clicking the button below.

Note: Once your application is received, the YMCA Camp Glenburn office will contact you to finalize your adjusted camp fees. A deposit is required to confirm your registration.

David Walker
Memorial Fund

David “Fyn” Walker spent many happy summers at Camp Glenburn as a camper and a counsellor-in-training. He loved the outdoors and it was at Glenburn that he honed his outdoor skills: swimming, canoeing, hiking, climbing, working as a team, and making many friends. After his death in 2011, David’s family and friends established an endowment fund to support deserving campers in developing their skills in outdoor leadership by attending Camp Glenburn’s Leadership Programs.

This fund covers a portion of the fees for the Leadership Program for up to two (2) selected recipients.

Leslie E. Bruce
Memorial Fund

Leslie “Fee” Bruce was an active Glenburn camper and staff member who was deeply involved in environmental education. A natural leader, she inspired many others to do their part in respecting the environment. To honour her work and lessons, Fee’s family established an endowment fund in her memory to award this bursary to a camper who is passionate about environmental causes.

This fund covers a portion of the fees for YMCA Camp Glenburn’s Leadership Program for the selected recipient.
